The Taunton High School in Taunton, Massachusetts now has a food truck: The Tiger Truck. The truck is a part of the school’s culinary arts program and has students working there as interns, according to a report by Taunton Daily Gazette.
The truck offers smash burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads and fries. Brandon Molina, a senior, said that this food truck gives him “real, in-depth experience” and he plans to pursue a career in food following graduation.
“It’s a great opportunity for students to learn a new skills set, give back to their community, be out in the community, and benefit if thinking of being an entrepreneur,” Darla Hartung, co-director of the career technical education program at Taunton High School, said in the report.
During the warmer seasons, the truck will operate within the city limits and be available for events and catering.
