Snow Hill, Maryland has approved changes to its zoning and food truck ordinances. It aims to make the area both more friendly to food trucks, while protecting restaurants, according to a report by Neuse News.
In particular, the commissioners reduced the distance between food trucks and restaurants downtown from 500 feet to 100 feet.
“This represents a pretty significant drop to kind of open up the use of the downtown area,” Brian Pridgen, town attorney, said in the report.
The board also reduced the annual permit fee from $300 to $125.
